Metra Train 504 Derailment

This animation was produced to depict the Metra Train 504 derailment of 9/17/2005. The train had derailed due to excessive speed through a crossover and the 4th car struck a girder and went airborne, resulting in multiple injuries and fatalities to passengers. James Loumiet reconstructed the train trajectory and motion path and Michael O'Hern prepared the animation.
